Raleigh, NC Flea Market

Hi everyone! I know I haven't blogged in awhile, but I have been suuuper busy with planning my wedding and have been a serious budget (eek!). But....I DID go to the flea market today in Raleigh and it was really neat. I walked away only spending 25 cents on a cute, turquoise Anchor Hocking bowl....haha. Here are some pics...

And this is what we are all about in North Carolina. Having a good time...and hot dog eating contests!
Antiques and "junk" as far as the eye can see....ohh yes, and there's also my dad in the yellow shirt!
I love retro furniture. Especially the cute yellow patio set. Nice.

Can I just say that I love EVERYTHING about this booth, "From the Heart Antiques." The next four photos are also from this booth...

I fell in love with these!!!! I love almost anything vintage and red...

....really wanted to buy this pitcher...!

The cutest sour cream glasses...I want them all! :)

Nothing says "cute vintage" like pink and turquoise Pyrex. Adorable.

And finally, the Pyrex jackpot. This is only 1/4 of what was in THIS booth....(wait...am I drooling....???) That's embarrassing...

Vintage shell cameos!!!! I love them...I've collected them since I was a little girl. This is an exceptional collection....and only one of four cases stocked full of them...

So...ok....these are obviously not vintage. But, wow. Soo pretty. And I am all about buying handmade and supporting local artists.

Seriously. Wow.

So that pretty much sums up my day. Awesome. Can I just say that I saw so much patriotism out there today, too. I saw soo many beautiful American flags flying. I feel so fortunate to live in America. I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday!

Liberty Antiques Festival, NC

Hello! I hope everyone has had a great week! Today was the first day of the Liberty Antiques Festival in Liberty, North Carolina and I had a blast! The Liberty Antiques Festival happens twice a year and features over 400 dealers, from more than 25 states, on a hundred acre farm. It was my first time going and it was amazing! I wanted to share some pictures...

SO many antiques! :)

Bought these for $5!

Finally bought a set of Pyrex primary color nesting bowls.....and for $15!!!

weekend shopping...

Hi! I had to work early Saturday morning, but I had time to go to a few yard sales on the way...

I have found a few of these plates recently and really love the vintage gold designs. All of theses large plates were $1 each (except one was $0.50) and the dessert plate was $0.25.
I FOUND THIS VINTAGE FIESTA YELLOW CASSEROLE DISH FOR $3 at a yard sale!!!!! There is a small chip on the inside of the bowl, but it is not noticeable when the lid is on. I couldn't pass it up for $3!
I bought this glass for $1 at a church basement yard sale....
....and I bought this sandwich glass trivet for $2.
This cute hand embroidered dish towel was $0.25 at the church basement sale and I bought a small stack of white linens for $1. Thanks for looking!!!! :)

best Pyrex find yet...

I found an excellent buy this week on a unique piece of Pyrex......
I found the lid in an antique booth for $3, then found the bottom in a different booth for $6.

I hope everyone is finding some great things! I love shopping this time of year when yard sale season and thrift stores are in full swing from all of the Spring cleaning. I found a lot of neat things this morning....will be posting pictures tomorrow! :) Thanks for looking.

FieSta!

Here is my find for the day!!! I went to a thrift store in town and they were having a 50% off sale. Most of the items I had seen before, but these Fiesta mugs were hiding. They are newer mugs but are still pretty and cleaned up nicely (they were filthy!). They ended up costing 25 cents each...so I walked out of the thrift store spending $0.81. :) Very exciting for me....
