A great week for vintage goodies. :)

I haven't been having much luck thrifting in California so far, so I decided to go to some yard sales last weekend. WHAT A GOOD IDEA!!!! Here are my finds:

PUTZ house! FOR $1!!! Adorable!
Vintage Corning saucers. 65 cents each!
Another Putz house! Love these!
Vintage Kraft cheese box. $3. I used mine to put stationary in. :)
Vintage clock. $2.
Oh yes. Just when I thought I was completely over this Pyrex pattern, I fell in love with it again. So cute! $5. I have discovered that it looks amazing with turquoise!

Thank you for looking! I appreciate all of you so much! :)

New Obsession

It's no secret that I love color. What do I love more? Colorful, vintage things! I've been a fan of cast iron Le Creuset cookware ever since I discovered the vibrant colors. I went antiquing and found a cute little skillet in the trademark "flame" Le Creuset color. But, it was unmarked on the bottom.

After some research, I discovered that it is "Descoware." From what I have read, Descoware was Julia Child's cookware of choice. It was made in Belgium. Here is some information I found about the history of Descoware. Apparently this skillet is part of a two piece set. This is the lid to a pan (which cleverly doubles as an additional skillet). I scored it for $8.95 and it is in great condition.

So now the search begins for the other piece! :)

Thanks for reading and (hopefully) learning something neat with me. :)

It's been too long!

I know it's been way too long, but so much has changed since my last post, and I really just needed to live life for a little while. I am no longer living in North Carolina! I will be living in California for the rest of the year and then who knows!! :) I do have a few pics of some of my California finds. I'm also attaching a couple of pics of things I brought with me to the west coast. I drove here from NC, so I only brought what I could wedge into the car. What's a girl to do when she has to leave most of her Pyrex collection at home? Buy more, of course! ;)

This is a photo from an antique store in Orange, California. Ohhh goodness. What an amazing and beautiful collection!

Here are some thrift store finds! All this for under $3!
Another antique store photo. Wow.
Ok, this is not a vintage bottle. I saw it in Country Living Magazine and had to get it! It's at World Market for $5.99. I actually went back last night and bought another one. Way better than drinking from plastic!
Some Cali Pyrex finds!
I use my Vintage Pyrex everyday.
My kitchen counter top. Vintage melamine, Spring Blossom Green Pyrex, vintage Tupperware, and silverware in a vintage glass canister.
Pyrex!!!!! My new favorite is the daisy casserole. I found this adorable owl trivet for $10.
Thrift store mugs. 65 cents each!

New fiesta with my favorite vintage syrup holder. Cute. I love turquoise. :)

This week's new goodies.

Here are this week's new finds!!!!!! :)

Here is my (new to me) aqua vintage Pyrex bowl and vintage Pyrex snowflake casserole; both were $8 each. I absolutely love this color and had to buy them.

I found these cute little retro gloves for $3. I really have no idea why I bought them, besides the fact that they were so cute and colorful. I think that they will be cute hanging on a Christmas tree or a garland. I bought this bottlebrush wreath because it was on sale for $2, although it is a reproduction of an old ornament. Finally, I bought this cute little red drawer to put Christmas cards in for next year. I love it!

These plates are not vintage, but I just received them as an early birthday gift. They came from Italy (my Aunt is an artist and goes there occasionally to paint) and the company is called Vietri. I love how colorful they are.

Thanks for looking. :)

I found it!

Today....I FOUND IT!!!!! I have been looking for a BRIDES vintage Pyrex casserole for months, and I finally found one today! I was so excited!

It was only $12, too! :) Soooo happy about it. Haha.

I also somehow ended up with this vintage Fiesta saucer. (I just couldn't leave it behind!). My mom found the Compass Pyrex casserole at a thrift store for $3. Pretty good deal, I'd say.

:)

Thanks for looking.
